SUMMARY:Sing A Secret: A Mindbody Approach to Voice and Song (FREE)
DESCRIPTION:Sign up HERE \nA free 2.5-hour introduction into an ecstatic mindbody approach to your voice\, for singers\, “non-singers\,” and everyone in between. \n\n\n\n\n“I am someone who was told they couldn’t sing at a young age. Yet in one session Tyler got me to sing with an openness that felt empowering and emotional. His teaching was insightful\, encouraging\, and helpful.” – Clare \n“I used to train my vocal so it hits a certain key & imitate other people out there\, but Tyler’s workshop empowered me to explore some deep emotions and to channel them just the way I feel… this is profound because in 2 hours I managed to drop my guard\, felt more confident with my sound & recognize my voice is a true gift that shouldn’t be hidden 💓 big thanks to Tyler.” – Cassandra S. \nWhether you’re a seasoned musician\, a proud shower singer\, or someone who’s never opened their mouth to sing\, this FREE workshop will give you the chance to discover and connect with the beautiful voice that’s been inside you all along. Through engaging exercises and group songs that are as fun as they are revelatory\, Sing a Secret helps everyone — regardless of their experience — to unlock the unique power and beauty of their own voice. \n“I had the pleasure of attending [Sing a Secret] last fall and witnessing the transformative\, transcendence of confidence that emerged among our small group. Tyler’s blind confidence\, faith\, compassion\, and encouraging energy towards us to beautifully sing with our naturally given voice produced inner and group acceptance and joy!” – Diana \nSince September 2015\, Sing a Secret has been presented around the world. Developed by Jonathan Stancato at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London\, it has since been presented all over England\, Berlin\, Paris\, and across the U.S. Thousands have sung their secret songs at settings as diverse as music festivals\, mindfulness bookstores\, the TED Talk headquarters\, historic churches\, and plant medicine ceremonies. \n“Tyler helped us create a fun and comfortable atmosphere to explore our voices and how they connect to a deeper felt sense of our entire bodies and our experiences. The work was transformative and I’d love to dive in deeper!” – Chris \nAbout The Instructor: Tyler Hathaway is a voice teacher and musician based in Philadelphia\, PA. He is trained in Inside Voice techniques by Jonathan Stancato in NYC. Alongside his vocation in the world of music\, Tyler is a practicing psychotherapist\, holding a Master’s degree at Antioch University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a focus on expressive arts therapies. His teaching practice is additionally informed by his acting training at the Actor’s Workshop of Ithaca\, prior career as a collaborator and storyteller working in the film industry in Chicago and NYC\, and his formal education and gigging experience as a drummer. \nTo learn more about Tyler\, visit www.tylerdhathaway.com. \n“Tyler is very informative\, progressive and inclusive with his knowledge and teaching method. Also\, I love the positive and happy vibes he brings to keep the environment feeling safe and comfortable.” – Syed Owais \nSing a Secret is meant for adults. If you think your teenager would find this to be a good experience\, contact me at tyler.hathaway1@gmail.com\, and I would be happy to discuss whether an appropriate exception can be made. \n“[Sing a Secret] is a beautiful\, memorable\, powerful experience that I would recommend to anyone without reservation.” – Rachel \nI am committed to making my teachings safe and accessible to everyone. It is my highest priority to approach voice work and healing in a way that is anti-racist\, feminist-conscious\, LGBTQ- and genderqueer-affirming\, disability-adaptive\, and body-positive in every way.

SUMMARY:Drawing the Dancing Body (Workshop)
DESCRIPTION:$15-$25 Sliding scale at the door (cash or venmo @harmoniehall)\n90 minute class followed by afterparty with light refreshments\n\nJust bring yourself – materials provided! Instructor will provide Liquid and dry media\, Art boards\, Brushes\, Paper.\n\n\nIf you loved “Everyone Draws Everyone\,” this will take you to the next level. \nStarve the Critic!  Feed the Explorer!  Bypass the analytical mind\, discover reflexive intelligence\, and draw from the spine. \nIn this innovative figure drawing class\, we’ll harness the opportunity to move our bodies\, draw\, and be drawn.  A moving model requires us to recruit what are called fast-twitch muscles\, working beneath thought in the realm of “gesture.”  By dancing with plurality\, no single drawing will define us. We will make many\, many drawings.   Everybody will have the opportunity to be both artist and dancer.  By moving between roles\, we learn to feel what we see within our own physical structure.  I promise you\, the results will be staggering. \nThe workshop will open with a short class in movement\, anatomy\, and a few techniques with pen and ink.  When the music starts\, the first dancer will enter the space and begin to move.  Over the course of the\nclass\, artists and dancers will move effortlessly into and out of the space\, until the roles merge.  Then we’ll have snacks and celebrate each other’s work. \nAaron Birk brings 35 years of training\, performance and teaching in Visual Art and Dance.  A published graphic novelist\, Contact Improv Dancer and teacher-in-training with “The Axis Syllabus” (movement research)\, Aaron synthesizes observation with proprioception\, bringing a vibrantly awake\, embodied radiance to his practice.

SUMMARY:Kendra McKinley\, Paul Spring
DESCRIPTION:*Please note this is an upstairs venue \n7 doors/7:30 music \n$20 advance / $25 door \ntickets here \nBYOB \nAbout the artists: \nPaul Spring (instagram) (website) is a songwriter and guitarist based in New York City. He has released 7 albums in the last 5 years ranging from classical and folk to electronic. In 2021 he released J.S. Bach 12 String Transcriptions\, supporting it with a 2 year long weekly residency in Manhattan’s Burp Castle. Between 2023’s Always Almost Home “meshing 90s pop and Bach” (MPR) and the “hidden pop gem” (Irish Times) of 2022ʼs Thunderhead\, Spring experimented with minimal electronic production and folk. Aquarium Drunkard called his album\, 2024’s River Flows Two Ways\, “a singular fresh offering as well as a catalogue introduction of sorts.” It accompanied a canoe tour down the Hudson River. In 2024 and 2025 he recorded Kind of Heaven and Dumb and Free with drummer and co-producer Jon Nellen. In the summer of 2025\, Paul put out an album of original music entirely in Classical Latin entitled Vita Brevis. He has also appeared as a session guitarist and co-writer on Blackthought and El Michels Affair’s Glorious Game\, and his guitar playing was sampled on releases by Kenny Beats\, Vic Mensa\, Sofia Valdez\, and Kirby. \n \nKendra McKinley (instagram) (website) \nKendra McKinley makes music that shimmers at the edges—rhythmic\, full-body fever dreams marbled in incense smoke. She’s a shapeshifter with a looping pedal\, a gimlet eye and a poet’s ear\, threading humor and sensuality through her lyrical backflips. The effect is all groove and grace\, pleasure and precision. Imagine the grounded sophistication of Feist with the soulful\, genre-fluidity of Moses Sumney. From recording in the Redwoods to performing at the Guggenheim\, to writing in and around her Hudson Valley home\, McKinley makes music destined to be known by heart.Kendra McKinley makes music that shimmers at the edges—rhythmic\, full-body fever dreams marbled in incense smoke.
